HAIR
O' THE DOG
For
those just hearing about The Dog, here's
an abridged history... Primitive "medical science"
had a somewhat dubious method of treatment for dog bites: catch
the dog that nipped you, cut off a bit of its hair, and make a
paste from the hair to apply to the wound.
Today,
the phrase "the hair of the dog that bit you" has come
to be associated with having a bit too much of your favorite libation.
Some drinkers believe that the best way to rid one’s self
of a hangover is to down a glass or two of whatever it was that
you over-indulged in the previous evening, or rather, taste a
little "hair of the dog."
Well,
this Dog presents you with the opportunity to partake in a little
hair of the dog. This party will undoubtedly indulge that passion
for excessive fun, excessive food, and excessive partying.
Metrospect's
signature event, the Hair O' The Dog brings together thousands
of party-goers for festivites that won't fade until the wee hours
of the morn.

O' THE DOG: NEW YORK
CITY
January 13, 2007
While
celebrating its Lucky 13th in Philly, The Dog is headed to the
"other" tri-state area for its inaugural outing. The
backdrop for The Dog's coming out party is none other than the
Big Apple — the perfect fit for the party-goers that never
sleep!
Man's best friend has heard that the buzz of Manhattan is BLVD
... This two-floor entertainment megaplex is delivering the best
of NYC nightlife with food, entertainment and the right top shelf
and on-tap. With the Crash
Mansion stage, private party venue and VIP Lounges underneath
BLVD, The Dog has moved into the big city with big style.
Entertainment
for the night will feature Daddy
Pop covering everything from Queens of the Stone Age to Shakira,
from Prince and Nikka Costa to Nelly and Evanescence. Daddy Pop
delivers classic rock, nu-rock and pop rock with power.
Also
on the entertainment tap are DJ
Chris Mac from Tease and DJ
Benja Styles, spinning funky tunes to keep you groovin' on
the dance floor all night long.
If
the first 12 annual events in Philadelphia are any indication,
this is sure to become the premier party of the year. With the
New York City version expected to sell out, this party looks to
be the first of many.

O' THE DOG: PHILADELPHIA
January
27, 2007
Lucky
13. Hard to believe The Dog is turning 13. (Our Jewish friends
may want to look at it as The Dog is celebrating his "Bark
Mitzvah!")
This
year, all rules and superstitions will be thrown to the wind (aren't
they every year?!). So, walk under a ladder, let a black cat cross
your path, step on as many cracks as you want, just get yourself
to the National
Constitution Center on January 27, 2007 to party with The
Dog.
Entertainment
will feature Big
Bang Baby bringing
together the best in entertaiment with the best in non-party party
music. This
approriately-hyped band covers every modern rock, classic rock,
hip-hop and novelty tune you can imagine. Also on call for the
night is DJ Benja Styles.
Join
The Dog and celebrate the freedom to assemble!
